Make an immediate impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students within an Affective Needs Program in a dynamic school environment near Peyton, CO. This contract position allows you to engage deeply with a small caseload of just five students, ensuring personalized attention and comprehensive support. Four paraprofessionals are available in the classroom, fostering collaborative teamwork and a positive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License
• CDE certification required
• Experience or interest in teaching students with affective needs is highly valued
• Ability to collaborate effectively with support staff and other educators
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with affective needs
• Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state guidelines
• Collaborate daily with four classroom paraprofessionals to ensure student safety and optimal learning
• Track student progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with parents and staff
• Create a supportive, structured environment where every student can thrive emotionally and academically
