This position requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales, strong communication skills, and a passion for talent development. The Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving team sales targets, fostering a high-performance culture, and delivering exceptional service to clients.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales goals.* Use independent judgement and discretion to generate leads, make calls, quote new business, and provide the tools and resources for the team to ensure they are successful.* Develop and implement effective sales strategies and processes to drive business growth.* Monitor team performance, providing regular feedback and coaching to enhance skills and productivity.* Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.* Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand NTG's client base.* Collaborate with other departments, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery.* Analyze market trends and competitors to stay informed about industry developments and identify areas for improvement.* Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and strategic recommendations.* Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training new sales team members.**JOB REQUIREMENTS*** Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field preferred but not required.* Proven experience and success in sales, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*** Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team.* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.* Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.* Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage and track performance.* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\*\*MAY PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED\*\***WORK ENVIRONMENT**Standard office environment, usually indoors away from the elements with moderate noise. Occasionally, the employee is required to lift boxes up to 20 pounds.**SCHEDULING**This is a full-time benefits-eligible position, working Monday through Friday; 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. An employee in this position must be available to work occasionally on weekends and evenings, during peak periods.**TRAVEL**Local travel is required.
