Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time opportunity, located close to Desoto, TX is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic educational setting and are passionate about helping elementary students reach their fullest potential.
Key qualifications and experience:
-Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas.
-Previous experience in school-based OT preferred.
-Strong understanding of child development and therapeutic strategies for the elementary population.
-Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, staff, and families.
-Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans collaboratively.
Responsibilities include:
-Conducting assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs.
-Designing and delivering tailored therapeutic interventions in accordance with IEP goals.
-Collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate OT strategies into the classroom.
-Monitoring and documenting student progress while adjusting interventions as needed.
-Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary team discussions.
-Promoting a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student growth and participation.
