Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication growth as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist during the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity offers four full-time onsite positions working with elementary and high school students in the vibrant North Texas area. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current, valid Speech-Language Pathology license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred (elementary or high school)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt approach for varied student needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering student confidence and progress
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough screenings and assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to individual education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and staff to support generalization of skills
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation for therapy sessions and student progress
- Provide consultation and training to teachers and family members, as appropriate
- Contribute to eligibility, placement, and IEP meetings as an active team member
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in school-based SLP services
