Overview

We are a well‐established, family‐owned transmission shop that has proudly served our community since 1975. We are seeking a skilled and reliable  Transmission Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands‐on experience removing and installing transmissions, diagnosing drivetrain issues, and working efficiently in a professional shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove and install automatic and manual transmissions on a wide range of vehicles
• Perform drivetrain‐related repairs including transfer cases, differentials, axles, and related components
• Assist with basic diagnostic procedures to identify transmission or drivability issues
• Inspect vehicles for leaks, damage, and worn components before and after installation
• Flush and clean coolers, lines, and related systems as required
• Road‐test vehicles before and after repairs when necessary
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Communicate clearly with service writers and team members regarding repair status
• Follow all shop procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a transmission installer or automotive technician
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of drivetrain systems
• Ability to safely operate lifts, shop equipment, and specialty tools
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required
