About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Services Strategic Investments to take the lead in sourcing, executing, and managing principal investments in fintech companies within the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing regional investment strategies, developing a robust sourcing network, and fostering both internal and external relationships to identify new opportunities. This role requires a strong background in investment, with a focus on fintech, and the ability to work closely with senior management and various regional stakeholders to drive strategic investment initiatives. The Vice President will also be involved in all aspects of the investment process, from negotiations to due diligence, and will be expected to support the governance and performance enhancement of the investment portfolio. Applicants for the Vice President position should have a minimum of 6 years' of relevant experience, with a preference for those with over 4 years' in an investment role. A demonstrated interest in venture capital or technology, along with transaction experience in sourcing, deal evaluation, due diligence, and portfolio management, is essential. The role demands a basic familiarity with key areas within fintech and the ability to quickly grasp new technologies. Strong relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills are a must, as is the ability to navigate a large financial services company and engage effectively with senior leadership. The Vice President will also be expected to mentor junior team members and drive a culture of governance and controls within the investment team.
