Alta Mental Health Solutions is looking for a Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and provide mental health treatment in our hybrid outpatient setting. Position Overview

In this role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care, including psychiatric assessments , medication management , and ongoing treatment planning. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary mental health team to support clients across the lifespan. This is a part-time hybrid PMHNP position that offers autonomy, flexibility, and steady referrals.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations , mental status exams, and diagnostic assessments.
• Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness
• Adjust psychotropic medications according to clinical response.
• Work together with therapists and clinical staff within a coordinated care model.
• Complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Provide trauma-informed, evidence-based psychiatric and mental health services.

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Maryland
• DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience in outpatient psychiatry , mental health, or behavioral health preferred
• Strong assessment and psychopharmacology skills
• Excellent communication and documentation habits
• Foreign Language a plus with pay differential: Spanish, French, and Amharic.
