Industrial Account Manager – Field‑Based Position Overview: Junior to mid‑level Account Manager responsible for managing and growing an industrial sales territory, representing Stanley Black & Decker’s industrial solution brands including DeWalt, Stanley, Lenox, Proto, Irwin. Field‑based with overnight travel within territory. Responsibilities Manage, grow, and develop a sales territory with distribution customers across a matrix of channels. Demonstrate the value of the full product portfolio and services by identifying target opportunities, running product trials, and providing cost‑savings analysis reports. Support customers with ongoing sales service, including sales analysis, inventory control, and promotions. Manage administrative aspects including expense management, paperwork, forecasts, gap plans, and other reporting requirements. Establish a value‑based communication approach with distributors and end users, informing them of new products and motivating focus on Stanley Black & Decker brands. Travel overnight within a defined territory. Qualifications Bachelor’s or associate degree. Strongly preferred: 2+ years of direct industrial sales experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM preferred. Strong time‑management and prioritization skills. Willingness to learn through hands‑on training and product demonstrations. Ability to develop and present programs to customers and sales organization.
