Make a difference in the lives of elementary and intermediate school students by utilizing your expertise as a School Counselor in a dynamic educational environment. This onsite position provides the opportunity to support young learners across both elementary and intermediate buildings, serving students in grades K-5. The contract spans the academic year from August 12, 2026, through May 20, 2027, at a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

• Kansas licensure as a school counselor for grades K-12 is required
• Experience offering counseling services within a school setting, especially with elementary-aged children
• Strong skills in individual and group counseling, providing emotional and social support
• Confident in leading classroom guidance lessons
• Capable of participating effectively in crisis response and IEP meetings
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and organizational abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Split your workweek between the Elementary and Intermediate buildings, providing support to diverse student groups
• Deliver individual and group counseling sessions tailored to the needs of students in grades K-5
• Facilitate classroom guidance lessons to promote positive behaviors, coping skills, and emotional regulation
• Participate actively in crisis intervention and emergency response as needed
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams, including IEP meetings
