Key Qualifications:

• Active Kansas Special Education Teacher certification is required
• Experience supporting students in Life Skills programs and/or Resource classrooms highly preferred
• Comfortable collaborating with other educators, aides, and families to create strong individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Able to adapt instruction to meet varied learning needs and styles at middle and high school levels
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management abilities
• Ability to work onsite for the full school year contract

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction for students with disabilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with team members
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture supporting academic, social, and emotional growth
• Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents and staff to ensure student success
• Participate in professional development and school meetings
