Qualifications & Certifications:

• Valid Special Education Certification for the state of Kansas (SPED Cert in KS required)
• Experience working with middle or high school students in a special education setting
• Familiarity with life skills and/or resource classroom instruction is a plus
• Ability to build rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support to students on individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings and progress reporting
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment
