INSIDE EQUIPMENT SALES & RENTALS

An industry leader in sales and service of underground utility and construction equipment, has served the Carolinas since 1974 with headquarters in Charlotte, NC and three full-service branches in South Carolina..

Primary Responsibilities:

• Primary contact for walk-in, call-in, internet inquiries and other sources of leads for equipment sales, rentals and open products
• Assist customers in person at the dealership and by phone to properly identify their equipment needs, application, budget and time-line
• Provide literature, specs, rental rates, quotes, information and assistance to walk-in and call-in prospective buyers and customers
• Update CRM & provide prospect information to the territory sales reps with a sense of urgency
• Monitor leads and rental pipeline on a daily basis to ensure prospective buyers have been contacted and assisted by the territory manager in a timely manner
• Prepare quotes, specs, and information as needed to facilitate inside sales and rentals.
• Show and demonstrate equipment in our test field to prospective buyers; Work with rental customers on safety and proper operation of the equipment.
• Organize and follow up with trade-show leads
• Coordinate prospective buyers from start to finish with internal departments and outside sales creating a positive experience for new and existing customers
• Stay informed about product features, industry trends, and competitors to provide expert advice and maintain a competitive edge

Requirements:

• Previous experience in construction equipment sales and rentals in a related industry preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen actively and articulate solutions clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Assertive, self-motivated; competitive, ambitious & professional
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify new opportunities, upsell products, and meet or exceed sales targets.
• Ability to operate and demonstrate compact equipment, piercing tools, etc. & work outdoors as necessary.
• 3-year driving record determined insurable by our insurance carrier
• Basic MS Word, Excel, Email & CRM proficiency
