We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations for a Long-term Contract / Possible Permanent position based in Greer, South Carolina. This role is well suited for someone who is comfortable handling both payables and receivables, maintaining accurate records, and helping keep accounting processes organized and current. The ideal candidate brings practical experience with transaction processing, account balancing, and QuickBooks in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities: - Process vendor invoices, confirm coding accuracy, and prepare payments in a timely manner. - Manage customer billing activities, record incoming payments, and help maintain current accounts receivable balances. - Perform routine bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial records remain accurate. - Enter, update, and maintain accounting data in QuickBooks with a high level of precision. - Review financial documentation for completeness and follow up on missing or unclear information. - Assist with general ledger support and other accounting tasks needed to keep daily operations running smoothly. - Organize accounting files and supporting records to improve audit readiness and document control. - At least 3 years of experience in an accounting support or accounting assistant role. - Hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Proven ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently. - Working knowledge of QuickBooks for transaction entry and account maintenance. - Experience coding invoices and reviewing source documents for accuracy. - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with consistency. - Solid written and verbal communication skills in an office setting.
