Annuity Actuarial Analytics - AVP & Actuary

A leading insurance organization is seeking an AVP & Actuary, Annuity Analytics to take on a highly visible leadership role within the actuarial function. This position will drive enterprise-level annuity analytics, support valuation and earnings analysis, and partner closely with finance and business leaders to deliver actionable insights that shape strategic decision‑making.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned ASA/FSA to step into a high‑impact role overseeing analytics, reporting, and cross‑functional initiatives across the annuity business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead actuarial and financial analysis across a wide range of business initiatives and ad‑hoc requests
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and stakeholders
- Oversee and enhance core analytics, reporting processes, and methodologies
- Partner with finance and business teams on projections, earnings analysis, and strategic planning
- Develop frameworks that balance growth, profitability, and retention
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders
- Lead and mentor a team of actuarial analysts, providing coaching and technical guidance
- Drive process improvements and ensure timely, accurate documentation of actuarial work
- Support key initiatives including pricing, regulatory (VM‑22), and M&A due diligence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field
- 10‑12+ years of actuarial experience
- ASA or FSA designation preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams
- Strong background in actuarial modeling, analytics, and financial analysis
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non‑technical audiences
