Job Description

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for a Maintenance Technician for a food manufacturing client located in Beaverton, OR.


You will be in charge of Installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic s ystems, conveyor systems, production machines/equipment, and electrical systems in the food processing plant and other company owned facilities.


MAINTENANCE MECHANIC ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers, ballast and light fixtures, and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Responsible to complete assigned Special Projects, Tasks and Work Assignments.
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of GMPs and Allergen programs, HACCP, Food Safety, Food Fraud, Food Defense, Quality Assurance, Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Forklift & Aerial Lift programs, Sanitation programs and all other relevant safety procedures.
• Participates in plant sanitation projects, mandatory training and overtime work.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma and one to five years experience
• Mechanic experience and current driver's license with evidence of insurability
• Forklift and aerial lift operator.
• Thorough knowledge and ability to use a variety of hand tools and machine tools.
• Knowledge of fire prevention practices and use of fire extinguishers.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, heating systems, and electrical components.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, as well as, frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch
• You may frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally work in high places and in outside weather conditions and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

DETAILS:

• Monday - Friday
• Shift and schedule to be decided with you and maintenance supervisor
• $25 - $30+/hr to start
