Investment Analyst

Overview Primary Location: Vestavia Hills, AL Duration: Full-time Our Firm Patterson Andrews Wealth Management is a fee-based investment advisor and broker/dealer and a subsidiary of Northwestern Mutual that is headquartered in Vestavia Hills, Alabama with additional offices in Gadsden and Montgomery, Alabama. We manage assets for high-net-worth individuals with a minimum of $500,000 in assets. It is our core mission to provide clients with financial peace of mind. We provide holistic financial planning that includes investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, risk management, tax planning, and business valuation services for small business owners, among other services. Job Description As an investment analyst your role will include conducting due diligence on the current investments in client portfolios as well as researching additional funds for potential inclusion in client portfolios. You will meet with various investment firms including with investment teams directly. Individual equity research will also be part of your day-to-day. For certain clients, we are investing in individual equities in a portfolio that we have built in-house, and your role will be instrumental in the security selection for these portfolios. Other responsibilities will include the following: trading, monitoring, and rebalancing client portfolios, tax loss harvesting, asset allocation, portfolio management, macroeconomic research, and attending webinars/conferences/quarterly review calls for the investment managers in which due diligence is being conducted.
