External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.Your Role:The Distribution Associate 2 – 1st Shift role at MilliporeSigma in Milwaukee, WI plays a critical role in the fulfillment of customer orders through the activities of receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of life science materials. Job duties include:Shift Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pmLoad and unload freightOperate equipment to produce documents for workloadLocate, move, deliver, or return all materials to proper areasPrepare materials for shipmentAccurately document all movement of materialsAudit inventory locations to maintain inventory and location accuracyVerify chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special requests information, unit size and weights against order documentation found in packing instructionsPrint and apply all required labels and markings to box to comply with hazardous materials regulationsCondense, straighten, and maintain warehouse areasWork with team leads and supervisors to troubleshoot system issuesReport unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to team leads or any member of managementPhysical Attributes:May involve standing for long periods of time, operating powered industrial equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds unassistedWho You AreMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Qualifications:1+ years of fulfillment, customer service, or warehousing experienceOral and written communication skills to interact with all levels of staffExperience in a fast-paced environment and adjusting to changing priorities in the environmentProficiency with computers, scanners, printers, and shipping equipmentExperience following good distribution practices (GDP), where applicablePay Range for this position: $19-$30/hourThe offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
