Seven Healthcare is seeking a highly experienced Ortho Assistant for a travel assignment in Milwaukee, WI. This role is focused on orthopedic procedures within a level III trauma center. The Ortho Assistant will work in a dynamic surgical environment, performing a variety of orthopedic tasks, including fracture repairs, hip and knee replacements, and arthroscopic procedures.

Key Responsibilities of the Ortho Assistant

• Perform and assist in orthopedic surgeries such as fractures, anterior hips, and total knees
• Utilize equipment such as the Hanna Table, Jackson Table, and Beach Chair
• Independently perform suturing, knot tying, and deep closure with expertise
• Work with positioning equipment including Stulberg Hip, Spider Arm, and Acufex Leg Holder
• Operate specialty equipment like the Velys Robot for splinting

Requirements of the Ortho Assistant

• Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) certification from NBSTSA, ABSA, or NCCSA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic assisting
• Proficiency in using EPIC EMR and various surgical technology
