About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical, Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience - Traveler experience accepted - Skills in Med/Surg, MS/Tele - Knowledge of interpreting and managing dysrhythmias - Experience with telemetry and remote monitoring - Ability to manage bowel obstructions, colostomy/ileostomy care, and feeding tube management - Proficient in pre/post-hemodialysis management and renal failure care - Competence in blood product administration and central line blood draws - Experience in peripheral line care, phlebotomy, and starting IVs - Knowledge of heparin and insulin administration - Experience with PCA, chest tubes, and BiPAP/CPAP management - Familiarity with high flow nasal cannula and oxygen administration - Understand isolation precautions and wound care Description: The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience in a medical/surgical telemetry setting. They should possess skills in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and have experience with telemetry systems. Candidates must be proficient in remote monitoring and have knowledge of bowel obstruction management. Experience with colostomy and ileostomy management, as well as feeding tube care, is required. Candidates should be capable of pre/post-hemodialysis management and have experience in renal failure care. Blood product administration, central line blood draws, and peripheral line care are essential skills. Phlebotomy experience and the ability to start and maintain IVs are required. Candidates should have experience with heparin and insulin administration, as well as PCA management. The ability to manage chest tubes and to provide BiPAP/CPAP care is necessary. Familiarity with high flow nasal cannula and oxygen administration is expected. Knowledge of isolation precautions and wound care techniques is crucial. Charge experience is preferred along with ACLS certification and experience with telemetry monitoring. Previous experience in community hospital settings is also preferred. Candidates should be open to floating within the facility as required.
