Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners by providing essential special education services in a vibrant elementary setting. In this contract opportunity, you’ll work with a close-knit caseload of 12 first and second-grade students, each with unique abilities and needs, including Developmental Delay, Specific Learning Disabilities, and Other Health Impairments. As an inclusion teacher, you’ll help facilitate positive learning experiences within classroom settings, while occasionally delivering targeted pull-out support tailored to student goals.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for appropriate state licensure)
• Experience adapting curriculum and instruction for elementary students with diverse abilities
• Proactive, collaborative approach with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
• Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage, document, and track progress on individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Passion for advocacy, inclusion, and differentiated instruction for students in grades 1-2

Key Responsibilities:

• Support approximately 12 students, ensuring access to the general education curriculum
• Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications as specified in IEPs
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment, promoting both academic and social growth
• Deliver pull-out services as needed to address individualized student goals
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to address educational needs
• Monitor, track, and report student progress; participate in IEP meetings and conferences
