Overview
Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist), Watertown, NY. This is a travel - temporary assignment in a hospital setting starting August 3, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,979 to $2,114 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is Day (12x3 schedule) from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. A 100-mile radius rule applies to this assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients per physician orders, including assessment, therapy initiation, and monitoring.
- Establish and adjust patient ventilator settings using metric measurements and advanced ventilation concepts; monitor patient response.
- Conduct airway clearance therapies, inhaled medications, aerosolized treatments, and chest physiotherapy as prescribed.
- Monitor patient status, interpret arterial blood gases and acid-base balance, and respond to changes or life-threatening events per protocol.
- Document care and flow sheets in the Meditech EMR; communicate findings with the multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure equipment checks, infection control standards, and compliance with BLS/ACLS; participate in code responses as needed.

Requirements
- Active New York State license as a Respiratory Therapist
- RRT certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited school for Respiratory Care
- BLS and ACLS required; NRP and PALS preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital setting as a travel assignment
- Experience with ventilator management and critical care principles
