MONDAY-FRIDAY DAY SHIFT, NO WEEKENDS!!About the RoleThis position is responsible for general facility, building and equipment maintenance and repair, both scheduled and unscheduled tasks, as assigned by the Call Center and/or Facilities and Maintenance management. Tasks that will be completed include: Work Order completion, Preventative Maintenance completion, problem identification and resolution, determination of material and supplies required for problem resolution, documentation of activities, utilization of the Computer Maintenance Management System, and communicating with the department's management.Key Responsibilities:Performs all duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic I and II classification.Installs, tests, inspects, diagnoses, maintains, repairs and replaces equipment and components of new and existing mechanical equipment and systems. Such equipment and systems will include, but not be limited to the following: sterilizers, vacuum pumps, compressors, appliances, pumps, circulators, cooling towers, air handling equipment, regulators, generators, kitchen equipment, etc.Determines project scope of work, schedules, manpower, material, equipment, etc. to perform and complete tasks.Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks as assigned and assists any higher departmental job classification as assigned.Documents work activity both by written means and electronically by use of the Computer Maintenance Management System, per departmental guidelinesReads and interprets written specifications, work orders, written and oral instructions, models and graphic illustrations such as lay-out diagrams, blueprints, work sketches, etc. Mentors newly assigned employees.
