As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a renowned educational location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, faculty, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, public areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor foot traffic, assist with directional guidance, and support orderly entry and exit during classes, events, exhibitions, and/or other scheduled activities at the location.
• Observe and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic educational setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
