As a Security Officer Patrol Representative in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a renowned educational location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting information to site leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, classrooms, common areas, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directional information, and support orderly entry, exit, and/or crowd movement during classes, exhibitions, and special events.
• Communicate with staff, visitors, and local responders when appropriate regarding alarms, disturbances, medical situations, and other security-related matters at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
