This contract position, available immediately through December 18, will have you working onsite within a FASE (Life Skills) classroom, providing essential support and guidance to students with special needs.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Current Special Education Certification in Texas, plus one of the following endorsements: Self Contained, Core Subjects, or Generalist—matching the grade level requirement for this assignment
• Proven experience working in special education settings, particularly with life skills, functional academics, or adaptive curriculum
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, support staff, and administration
• Flexibility, patience, and a compassionate approach to individualized instruction and classroom management
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs, conduct progress monitoring, and adapt lessons to meet a variety of student needs

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the FASE classroom and delivering instruction tailored to students’ IEPs in a supportive, nurturing environment
• Collaborating with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive educational experiences
• Monitoring and documenting student progress, making data-driven instructional decisions
• Engaging with parents or guardians regarding student growth and challenges
• Adhering to all policies, timelines, and reporting requirements
