Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown NeuroWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in stepdown neuro care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a challenging and dynamic clinical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide telemetry monitoring and management for patients with neurological conditions.Assist in the care of patients with tracheostomies and other critical interventions.Implement and evaluate nursing care plans based on patient needs.Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimum patient outcomes.Administer medications and monitor for effects and side effects.Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.QualificationsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a neuro-focused unit; first-time travelers with strong neuro experience will be considered.Required certifications: NIH Stroke Scale, Basic Life Support (BLS).Proficiency in telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential; a test may be administered.Work ScheduleThe position requires commitment to a flexible work schedule, including:Day shifts: 3x 12-hour shifts per week, from 07:00 to 19:30.Working every other weekend is expected.Blocked schedules are not available; flexibility in scheduling is required.Patient PopulationThe unit serves a variety of patients including:Neurosurgery patientsNeurology patientsIndividuals with epilepsyPatients suffering from traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and spinal cord injuries.Additional InformationFloating to other units may be required based on facility needs.Facility operates a Magnet status and is a teaching institution with a Level 1 trauma designation.Daily onsite parking is available at varying rates; offsite parking with shuttle service is also an option.Application ProcessIf you possess the required skills and experience, and are ready to take on a rewarding nursing role in a challenging environment, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.
