Admissions Recruiter

T hank you for your interest in employment with Louisiana Tech University. Louisiana Tech invites applications from highly motivated and energetic individuals who enjoy a fast- paced environment. Candidate would work from Main Campus. Responsibilities: Recruit prospective high schools students via high school visits, college fairs, text message , phone calls, e-mail correspondence, etc. Travel to various recruiting events , that include overnight travel and some weekends (valid driver's license required ) . M eet with prospective freshman and their families . Know Tech' s admission requirements, what scholarship opportunities are available for students, what majors are housed in each college, and which employers and graduate schools are recruiting our students . Assist with visit opportunities held on some Saturday's throughout the year. Plan and execute events within your territory which include but are not limited to counselor breakfast(s), yield event (s), social(s), and other counselor trips to campus. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor's degree required Previous experience in college admission s and recruiting Excellent communication skills and extremely detail-oriented Strong customer service and people skills Demonstrated interpersonal and team-work skills Demonstrated proficiency and love of technology ; extensive use of Excel, Word, and other ca mpus computing systems ( SLATE or other CRM) Familiarity w ith higher education desirable Ability to work some evenings and weekends Ability to drive to work independently and take init i ative Questions : For questions, please contact Colin Bailey, Assistant Director of Recruitment.
