Electrical Foreman

General Job Description Position Overview IES Residential is seeking an Electrical Foreman to join our team. Previous construction and field leadership experience is preferred. We are looking for a highly organized, safety-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively lead crews, manage field operations, and support project completion. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily field operations and job site activities. Lead, train, and support field crews to ensure safe and efficient work performance. Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure project requirements are met. Monitor job progress, productivity, and quality to ensure timely project completion. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel regarding project needs and schedules. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and job site procedures. Inspect work performed to verify quality standards and code compliance. Assist with material planning, equipment usage, and workforce scheduling. Identify and resolve job site issues, conflicts, and operational concerns. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to job site activities. Contribute as a team player in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Maintain professionalism and excellent communication with customers, vendors, and team members at all times. Perform additional administrative and operational support tasks as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 4-6 Specific Qualifications Qualifications Previous foreman, construction supervision, or field leadership experience preferred. Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or construction industry experience preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of construction practices, safety standards, and building codes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to pass pre-employment screenings such as background and motor vehicle record checks. English speaking, reading, and writing preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Spanish speaking preferred. Maintain professionalism and a positive, respectful demeanor with customers, coworkers, and business partners. Education/Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Use tools, equipment, phones, tablets. Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing project demands. Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require. Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift throughout the workday. Sit for extended periods while driving to and between job sites. Work on active job sites, indoors and outdoors, including attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces, with exposure to varying weather, construction noise, dust, and other job site conditions. Wear safety gear such as Personal Protective Equipment. Maintain dependable transportation and consistent, reliable attendance to meet customer service and operational needs. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures. Communicate in person, by phone, and electronically, including on a tablet, smartphone, and other office technology. Travel as required to support project and operational needs. Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position. Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
