Recruitment Specialist

Department: Scotland Memorial Hospital – Administration: Human Resources. Responsibilities Collaborate with Clinical Directors and Assistant Director, HR to assess recruitment needs and assist managers with staffing plans. Assist with development and implementation of workforce staffing plans, including building school relationships, participating in job fairs, college recruitment drives, internet recruitment, advertising, and open house opportunities for clinical applicants. Work closely with Marketing to develop marketing campaigns. Work closely with Foundation Director to determine grant funding for key positions or opportunities. Ensure accuracy of applications by verifying data provided by applicants and performing reference checks, licensure, educational verification, and other testing or credentialing prior to hiring. Schedule and complete all pre‑employment physical screening, background checks, orientation start dates, licensure, etc., and ensure new hires report to work as directed by the hiring manager. Track and trend time‑to‑fill metrics. Coordinate interdepartmental transfers and promotions, including scheduling interviews, salary recommendations, and follow‑up with all candidates. Generate ideas and propose improvements in recruitment and retention, with a special emphasis on difficult‑to‑recruit areas. Follow and contribute to recruitment strategies to attract qualified clinical and non‑clinical candidates. Conduct full‑cycle recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, updating job postings and descriptions into a standard format. Daily source applications and assist in interview processes as needed. Make offers of employment for all positions managed within the Human Resources department. Represent Scotland Health Care System at events and presentations. Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future openings. Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and human resources. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment, preferably in a healthcare setting. Strong understanding of clinical and non‑clinical roles within a hospital environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
