As a Security Officer - Corporate Library , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a public library location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide welcoming customer service to visitors and staff. You will use clear communication and sound judgment while contributing to Allied Universal’s caring, agile, reliable, innovative, team-oriented culture built on integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed09:30 AM - 08:30 PMFri09:30 AM - 06:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and surrounding perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Observe and report unusual activity, facility conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors, staff, and patrons with directions and general information while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
