We are looking for a candidate who genuinely enjoys delivering an exceptional customer experience, has a passion for payroll, and brings energy and excitement to their team and to their customers.You must be an analytical thinker with a passion for numbers.You approach challenges with a positive mindset, proactively seek solutions, and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for overseeing, preparing, and producing accurate and timely payrolls for multiple clients, in multiple locations (states), based on state and federal regulations and company policiesChecking customers employees' timesheets for accuracyMake adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses, commission, and severanceReview and validate payroll reports for accuracy, investigating and resolving any discrepanciesMaintain confidentiality and security of all client files, payroll information, and employee PIIAnalyze payroll results and other Human Resources reports to answer complex questions and recommend courses of action while exercising independent judgment and discretionRespond to payroll-related inquiries from client and their employeesProcess employee garnishmentsCoordinate payroll general ledger processing with accountingPrepare time and labor filesInput employee changes, maintain deductions, banking information, and employee maintenance itemsProvide service support to employees, other departments, and managementQualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):7 or more years' proven experience processing end-to-end payroll preferably in a medium to large organizationPrior experience working in a multi-client environment is requiredExpert knowledge of either Paylocity, Paycor, UKG Ready, UKG Pro, Ceridian Dayforce, ADP WFN, Paycom and/or PaychexIn-depth knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and best practicesComplex analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailSelf-starter who is willing to take initiative with little direction or guidanceDemonstrated organizational and time management abilitiesStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamEducated on compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and requirementsCertified Payroll Professional certification a plusExcellent math and numerical skillsProficient in Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUPCompensation & Benefits:The expected pay range for this position is $30.29 - $32.69/hr and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
