Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

SUMMARY

Manages and plans all Materials-related functions, including Purchasing, Production Scheduling, Inventory Control, and Global Sourcing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the purchasing and inventory control functions to meet on-time delivery goals and other company metrics (quality, delivery, cost).
• Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.
• Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Compute the amount of material required to complete job orders.
• Compile and maintain manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials within the ERP/MRP system.

• Provide support to production scheduling on all material flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
• Utilize Kanban and other "Lean Manufacturing" techniques to improve inventory turns and total working capital management.
• Work closely with other departments such as Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing on new product development and other related projects.
• Review visual schedules and related information to coordinate the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments.

• Conduct FAS (Final Assembly Schedule) meetings with sales (frequency to be determined by Materials Manager and Business Unit Manager).
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 4 Years Materials Management Experience as a Purchasing Agent, Planner/Scheduler, Planner/Buyer, or Master Scheduler in a manufacturing environment (preferably machining).
  APICS (CPIM and CPM) certifications preferred.
• Prior knowledge of and experience with continuous improvement tools (lean manufacturing techniques, rate-based planning, Kanban replenishment, etc.) is preferred.
• Prior experience in low-volume metalworking, CNC & manual machine shop environments is preferred.
