QA/QC Manager - Mechanical Construction

Specialty : Mechanical Systems, Welding QC, Piping, HVAC, Plumbing I’m working with a strong mechanical contractor in Arizona that is looking to add a QA/QC Manager to its team. This is a hands‑on quality role for someone who understands mechanical construction, knows how to manage welding documentation, and can work directly with field teams to make sure work is installed correctly the first time. The right person will bring a strong quality mindset, practical field awareness, and the ability to keep documentation, inspections, and compliance moving without slowing down project execution. What the role involves Owning QA/QC processes on active mechanical construction projects Managing welding quality documentation, including WPS, PQR, and WPQ records Tracking welder qualifications, inspection reports, and project quality files Coordinating inspections with third‑party agencies, project teams, and field leadership Reviewing work in the field for compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and project standards Helping resolve quality issues before they become larger schedule or turnover problems Supporting field teams with clear expectations around welding, piping, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical installation quality Working closely with operations, safety, and project leadership to maintain quality standards across the job Ideal background Welding quality control experience in a construction environment Mechanical construction experience preferred Background with piping, process piping, plumbing, HVAC, or industrial mechanical systems Familiarity with AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, API 1104, and common NDT methods Strong documentation habits and attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with field crews, project teams, inspectors, clients, and vendors NDT Level II, ASQ, or related quality certifications are a plus Benefits include Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid time off If you have welding quality control experience and want to support mechanical construction projects in Arizona, message me directly for a confidential conversation. #J-18808-Ljbffr Diamond Peak Recruiting
