Details 13-week assignment on the Renal Dialysis/Post-Surgical Care Unit 32-bed unit providing post-op care to general surgery patients as well as overflow medical/surgical patients Patient population includes bowel obstruction, wound infection, GI cancers, and morbid obesity diagnoses Patients served range from young adult through late adult (18-60) Patients must be hemodynamically stable and not require mechanical ventilation Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift schedule from 18:45-07:15 Staffing plan includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns with RN assuming full patient responsibility Floating between units/facilities within a 35-mile radius may be required based on staffing needs, with advance notice provided Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Current BLS certification (AHA) required Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test required Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start Additional Information Provide post-surgical nursing care within a supportive, team-oriented environment Strong communication and collaboration with providers and surgical residents who cover surgeons around the clock Must have a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that affects pay rate American Traveler Job ID P-747514.
