Overview Position Summary Umpires officiate baseball and softball for 1st grade through 6th grade games. Umpires maintain standards of play as well as sports policies and to ensure that game rules are observed by participants and spectators. Works directly with the public and is responsible for contributing to a fun and safe environment for friendly competition. Responsibilities Enforces the rules of the games. HOURLY RATE: $15.00-$17.00
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Ability to work weekday evenings and Saturday mornings/afternoons. Must be able to prove reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a background check if not a minor. Excellent communication skills. Physical Requirements Must be able to work long hours in outdoor temperatures. Some work is accomplished in an outdoor environment, subject to weather fluctuations (wide range of temperatures and inclement conditions). Must be able to stand, or squat for long periods of time. Running related to the job duties will be occasionally necessary. Must be at least 14 years old. (Work permits are required for 14 & 15 y/o).
