HR Assistant – Payroll & Recruiting SupportPay: $20–$25/hour Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PMWork Location: McConnelsville, OhioPosition OverviewWe are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support payroll, recruiting, and daily HR operations. This role will assist with APD Payroll, job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, job fairs, employee records, and general HR administration.ResponsibilitiesAssist with processing and maintaining payroll using APD PayrollPost, update, and maintain job openings on Indeed and other recruiting platformsReview applications, screen candidates, and conduct initial phone interviewsAssist with interview scheduling and candidate coordinationRepresent the company at job fairs, hiring events, and recruiting activitiesMaintain accurate and confidential employee and recruiting recordsProvide administrative and clerical support to the HR teamAssist with onboarding, recruiting, and other HR projects as neededQualifications & RequirementsPrevious experience in HR, payroll, recruiting, or administrative supportExperience with APD Payroll preferredComfortable using Indeed and online recruiting platformsStrong communication, organization, and time-management skillsProfessional, friendly, and confident phone mannerAbility to handle confidential information with discretionProficient with computers and Microsoft OfficeReliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple prioritiesPrevious recruiting, interviewing, or job fair experience is a plusEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
