Location: Newark, NJ. This position is full-time and salary-exempt. Local candidates only; relocation is not offered. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of airfield operations and direct and coordinate workers’ activities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Hire and train new employees, manage work schedules, monitor performance, order supplies, and oversee equipment maintenance. Direct daily activities, assign work, create schedules, provide on-the-job training, and carry out disciplinary actions as needed. Ensure safety and regulatory compliance by inspecting equipment, materials, inventory, productivity, and worksites; enforce safety rules and government regulations. Be promptly present on the airfield or facility to investigate accidents or incidents when reported. Maintain customer specifications and ensure products and services meet customer satisfaction. Build and maintain relationships within the regional aviation community to procure new business and develop client relationships at airports. Develop staff to work with customers’ management and front-line teams to improve productivity; adapt to staffing needs and special assignments as required. Practice safe work methods and perform related duties as requested. Must-Haves 3–5 years of management/leadership experience in an airfield ramp operations environment. Proficient English; strong interpersonal and mathematical skills (including use of averages and percentages). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software packages. Ability to motivate employees and maintain high organization and attention to detail. Understanding and implementation of air carrier, airport, and government agency requirements and procedures. Safety-conscious with ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with safety and security requirements. Willingness to work rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays) and to be present as required to meet workload productivity standards. Certificates & Licenses Required: Airport security badge — must be able to obtain and maintain an active badge during employment. Required: A valid driver’s license for at least 1 year, preferably 5 years, with a clean driving record; must maintain license for duration of employment. Note: Driving company vehicles and equipment is an essential function; drivers must pass airport-required training and driving evaluations. Position Details Position status: Full-time, salary-exempt. Rotating shifts, including overnight, day, weekend, and holiday coverage. Salary: 55–65K/year, based on experience. Includes performance bonus.
