Clinical Laboratory Scientist I - Weekend AM

Clinical Laboratory Scientist I performs moderate to highly complex laboratory analyses on clinical specimens at Abbott's Madison facility. The role includes specimen processing, quality assurance documentation, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting under laboratory medical director supervision. Weekend morning shift (Saturday–Monday, 6 AM–6:30 PM).

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory tests and analyses per standard operating procedures
• Perform, review, and document quality control procedures and maintain equipment
• Identify and resolve problems affecting test performance and laboratory operations
• Prepare reagents, maintain inventory, and participate in validation of new equipment and procedures
• Mentor new personnel, communicate with management and customers, and maintain stringent quality standards

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science, biological science, or medical laboratory technology from accredited institution
• 60+ semester hours including 24 hours medical laboratory technology or science courses with chemistry and biology
• Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
• Professional knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and work with hazardous materials and laboratory equipment
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science preferred

Compensation: $20.50–$41.00/hour
