Job Description
Title: Hospice Registered Nurse - Home Health Hospice

Schedule:
- Shift: 10 hours, Days
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (12 hours)

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 4 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum of 3 years of prior community hospice experience
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
- Excellent typing skills for narrative-heavy EMR

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate end-of-life care and symptom management for terminally ill patients.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with patients and families.
- Administer medications through various routes and perform skilled nursing procedures as necessary.
- Educate patients and caregivers on aspects of end-of-life care and facilitate goals of care discussions.
- Ensure adherence to treatment protocols and documentation standards within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Compliance / Notes:
- Dress Code: Business casual or non-institutional scrubs in non-hospital colors, with supportive closed-toe shoes.
- Limited jewelry and neat hair/beard required.
- Orientation: 2-3 days of onboarding training, including familiarization with the documentation system.
- Reliable transportation is required; public transportation is not accessible.
