We're looking for a Strategic FP&A Manager to join our team. This person will help set the bar for financial AI acumen and strategy for the finance org: an engineer and builder on tooling and process, comfortable deep in the detail and able to zoom out to strategy when it matters. We're a fast-paced environment, so if you own your planning and reporting stack end to end, know how to be a strategic business partner, and love pushing Finance ahead for what's possible, we want to talk to you.

This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Head of Finance.

What You Get to Do:

• Own our financial planning and reporting stack end to end (implementation, model architecture, integrations, permissions, and ongoing admin) so Finance and business partners trust a single source of truth.
• Use AI tools to compress your own analysis, modeling, and commentary work without cutting corners on accuracy.
• Partner with functional leaders on headcount, capacity, pipeline, and investment decisions. Challenge assumptions and drive better outcomes, not just compile packs.
• Own the annual operating plan, forecasts, and scenario models that leadership uses to run the business.
• Build and maintain board, executive, and departmental reporting: ARR, retention, gross margin, burn/runway, and the SaaS metrics that matter.
• Lead month-end FP&A close support: variance analysis, commentary, and flash reporting that explains the why, not just the what.
• Build and re-engineer processes with automation that free the team from spreadsheet grind and raise the quality of decisions.
• Support corporate finance activities: fundraising, board materials, investor relations, and ad-hoc strategic analysis as needed.

What You Bring to the Role:

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in strategic finance / FP&A. Track record of bringing impact, ownership, and builder instincts.
• Proven ownership of a planning / EPM / reporting platform end to end (e.g. Aleph and similar next-gen AI planning/reporting tools, Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive/Workday Adaptive Planning, Cube, Mosaic, or similar). You design, build, and administer; you don't just consume reports.
• You've already used AI tools to compress analysis, modeling, or commentary work, and you won't cut corners on accuracy to get there.
• Hands-on SaaS or B2B software FP&A experience: ARR/NRR, deferred revenue, cohort/retention thinking, headcount and opex planning.
• Advanced Excel (and ideally SQL or a BI tool such as Tableau / Looker / Power BI). Comfortable in NetSuite or a comparable ERP as a consumer and partner to Accounting.
• Business partnership instincts: you've sat with GMs or functional leaders, pushed back on plans, and left them with clearer decisions.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, start-up environment, prioritize across multiple assignments, and learn quickly.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, and a high standard of confidentiality and discretion handling financial and people data.

This role is based in our Foster City, CA office five days a week. The expected salary for this full-time position is $160,000 to $200,000 + equity + benefits. Actual level and compensation are determined by qualifications, professional background, and relevant experience .
