Quick Facts Location: 3635 Vista Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110 Start Date: 08/24/2026 End Date: 11/23/2026 Shift: Night shift, 5x8 hours (19:00 – 07:00) Hours/Week: 40 hours Employment Type: Contract License/Certifications: MO State license, BLS required; RNFA preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $144.05 Pay package discussed upon application Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time as per applicable laws Travel, licensing, certification, and other reimbursements when applicable 24/7 dedicated team committed to your success throughout your assignment What You’ll Do Assist in adult cardiothoracic surgeries, including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, aortic surgery, and emergent dissection repairs Support the surgical team with procedures such as sternotomies,Chest tube placement, and temporary pacing Use Epic EMR system for charting and documentation Participate in multidisciplinary team efforts to deliver high-quality patient care Manage intraoperative activities including use of equipment like Maquet EVH System and Impella, ECMO cannulation, IABP exposure Provide perioperative support in the cardiac ICU setting when needed Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain sterile technique during procedures What You Need Valid Missouri license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner Board certification in adult cardiac surgery or related specialty (required) BLS certification (required) RNFA certification (preferred) At least 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience Strong skills in surgical support, patient management, and teamwork About the Assignment This assignment is at a reputable academic hospital in St. Louis, known for its high-volume cardiac surgery program, performing approximately 517 pump cases annually. You will join a skilled team supporting complex procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve surgery, ascending aortic repairs, and mechanical support procedures.
