Work Environment

This role is located in our onsite rehabilitation facility, where collaboration and teamwork thrive. The physical therapist will work closely with other healthcare providers, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, in a dynamic and constantly evolving setting. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient needs. Key Responsibilities

• Implement personalized treatment plans designed to enhance mobility, restore function, and mitigate pain.
• Provide direct patient care by guiding individuals through tailored therapeutic exercises, stretches, and functional activities.
• Educate patients on self-management techniques, including proper body mechanics and exercise protocols, to promote sustainable recovery.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and thermotherapy as required.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient progress, detailing range of motion improvements, strength gains, and functional milestones.
• Organize and prepare treatment areas by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily accessible.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care, enhancing overall treatment outcomes.
• Provide empathetic support and guidance to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
• Uphold ethical standards by maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting the rights of individuals under your care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients range from pediatric patients healing from sports injuries to elderly individuals requiring orthopedic rehabilitation post-surgery. You will have the opportunity to work across a wide variety of conditions and age groups, allowing you to apply your skills flexibly and creatively. Understanding and addressing the specific needs of each patient is vital for successful rehabilitation, as is developing rapport to promote trust and cooperation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or an equivalent accredited physical therapy education.
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is required.
• Current physical therapy license to practice in the state of New Jersey is mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to devise individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and patient goals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
