Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator

Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This position is ideal for a strong administrative professional who excels at multitasking, communicating with customers, and keeping operations running smoothly. While previous logistics or dispatching experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate on routing and transportation processes. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers while monitoring daily delivery and pickup schedules.
- Assist with routing trucks to maximize efficiency and meet customer deadlines.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Answer incoming calls, emails, and customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate dispatch, routing, and customer information.
- Prepare and organize shipping, transportation, and delivery documentation.
- Track deliveries and proactively communicate delays or schedule changes.
- Support daily office operations with general administrative duties, filing, data entry, and recordkeeping.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and timely follow-up.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Previous administrative or office support experience required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and comfortable learning new software systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous dispatching, logistics, transportation, or routing experience is preferred but not required -training will be provided.
