Express Employment Professionals' Specialized Recruiting Group has partnered with a respected logistics company on the southeast side of Indianapolis that is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support daily operations, dispatching, crew coordination, and customer service activities.


Job Summary-


The Operations Coordinator serves as the hub of daily operations for a busy moving and logistics company. This position coordinates local moving crews and contractors, supports warehouse and fleet operations, maintains accurate job information and billing data, and helps ensure an exceptional customer experience. This role offers a strong opportunity for career growth into leadership and personnel management.

Responsibilities-

• Schedule and dispatch local moving crews, drivers, and contractors.
• Coordinate daily assignments based on job size, crew capabilities, and customer needs.
• Track shipment weights to ensure accurate billing.
• Enter and update information in the company's operating system.
• Use Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry, tracking, and reporting.
• Communicate with customers regarding scheduled moves and arrivals.
• Assist with warehouse operations and logistics coordination.
• Support commercial moving and distribution projects.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and assist with fleet maintenance scheduling.
• Help maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Assist with hiring and employee retention efforts as responsibilities expand.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements-

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to make decisions independently and take ownership of results.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Comfortable working both in an office and warehouse environment (Warehouse is heated during the winter but is not air-conditioned and can become warm during the summer months.)
• Leadership potential and desire for long-term career growth.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience is a plus but not required; training is available.
• Willingness to work hard, take initiative, and contribute wherever needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 75lbs occasionally
• Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred

Schedule- Monday-Friday: Typically 6:30/7:00 AM - 5:00/5:30 PM. Some Saturdays: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Pay & Benefits-

• $50,000-$60,000 annually ($24-$28/hour during evaluation period)
