Accounts Receivable Clerk

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date aging receivables schedules to track outstanding payments and identify accounts that require immediate collection efforts.
• Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts against the general ledger to identify and resolve any payment discrepancies or billing errors.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze financial data, generate weekly status reports, and streamline departmental reporting workflows.
• Post daily cash receipts, electronic transfers, and credit card payments accurately into the accounting system in accordance with standard internal controls.
• Apply a understanding of general ledger accounting principles to assist with month-end closing activities and maintain audit-ready financial records.
