Job Overview The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting strategic financial decision‑making. This role supervises accounting staff, provides leadership, improves accounting systems/processes, and creates efficiency initiatives. Job Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily accounting operations Perform month‑end closing processes Prepare monthly accounting and reporting package at established deadlines Perform check runs and initiate ACH transactions Ensure proper submittal of monthly sales tax returns (multiple states) Monthly reconciliation Oversee AP and AR activities Supervise, develop, and mentor accounting team members Prepare financial statements and management reports Assist with audit requests Monitor cash flow and financial performance metrics Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets Perform journal entries (payroll accrual, balance sheet adjustments) Job Requirements Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years accounting experience 2+ years supervisory or management experience Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks) Must be authorized to work in the US Must be able to successfully pass a background check Core Competencies Financial reporting accuracy Leadership and team development Strategic thinking Company Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account Health Savings Account 401(k) Plan with Company Match Company‑paid Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability #J-18808-Ljbffr
