Job Description An NBCUniversal Academic Year Intern will work on real projects across two full semesters within a collaborative culture, gaining exposure to media, entertainment, and technology. Internship Program Details Program Dates: September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027 Time Commitment: 16‑24 hours per week Location: Miami, FL (work from Miami) Format: Paid internship, with weekly schedule determined by business needs Benefits Paid time off for mental health, academic exams, and personal holidays Robust networking, learning, and professional development opportunities Complimentary Peacock subscription for the duration of the internship Free admission to Universal Parks during the internship Access to mental health resources, including counseling sessions Areas of Placement Telemundo Deportes – Intern responsibilities include assisting producers with planning and production tasks, coordinating logistics for guests and live shots, handling general office work, arranging travel for key production members, and supporting show elements such as music cue sheets, graphics research, and footage gathering. TLMD O&T Production Services – Hands‑on exposure to project management within Telemundo, supporting data analysis, planning, and process improvement initiatives, working alongside Technical Project Managers on large‑scale projects and cross‑functional collaboration, including preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2026. TLMD O&T Network & Distribution Operations – Support day‑to‑day distribution workflows, learn tools and processes that ensure content is delivered accurately and on schedule, and shadow other Operations & Technology teams to understand end‑to‑end media distribution. TLMD News / Noticias Telemundo – Work with producers, senior producers, and correspondents to help pitch, write, and produce news content for broadcast and the web across all platforms. Qualifications Basic Requirements: Actively enrolled in a degree‑granting program for the entire internship period (September2026–April2027). Sophomore or above (30+ credits); junior or above preferred. Authorized to work in the United States without requiring future NBCUniversal sponsorship. Available to work 16‑24 hours per week and willing to work in Miami, FL. Desired Characteristics: GPA of 3.0 or above. Strong fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal). Bilingual strongly preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet. Pursuing a degree in Media Production, Broadcast Operations, Communications, or a related field. Basic understanding of television or live production environments. Passion for sports broadcasting and interest in technical production workflows. Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Proactive attitude with a sense of initiative and teamwork.
