## Occupancy Specialist

**Location:** Newark, OH
**Job Type:** Temp-to-Hire
**Schedule:** MondayThursday | 7:00 AM 5:30 PM
**Pay:** $15/hr

### Job Summary

Mancan is seeking a detail-oriented and organized **Occupancy Specialist** for a respected housing organization in Newark, Ohio. This position is ideal for someone with administrative or housing experience who enjoys working with people, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations. If you have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information, we'd love to hear from you.

### Essential Responsibilities

* Maintain and monitor tenant files for accuracy and compliance.
* Complete annual recertifications and process interim rent adjustment requests.
* Review and verify tenant documentation and eligibility requirements.
* Interpret housing regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality.
* Participate in required training and cross-training opportunities.
* Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

### Qualifications

**Required:**

* High school diploma or GED.
* Minimum of **2 years** of experience in administrative support, housing, social services, case management, or compliance.
* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong math skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
* Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

**Preferred:**

* Experience with HUD Housing Programs, Section 8, Public Housing, or Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) programs.
* Knowledge of EIV, PIC, or housing management software.
* Experience calculating income, determining eligibility, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
