Responsibilities Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) Support clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately Assist clients with community integration, social activities, and recreational outings Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members Respond to behavioral challenges using approved crisis intervention techniques Requirements High school diploma or GED required Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or a related healthcare field preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach Ability to pass a background check and meet state compliance requirements Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays About Us Better Healthcare Services LLC is a trusted provider of community-based support services in the Springfield, VA area, dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling, independent lives.
