Critical Care ED Pharmacist (BCCCP or BCEMP board certification required and PGY2 Critical Care )

CornerStone Medical is seeking a Pharmacist for a 13 week assignment in the Fort Worth area. $95/hr -Shift: Evenings (1230-2100), or Swing shift (1400-0030), could also potentially do some day shifts if has rounding experience (0600-1430) -Days of the week: available 7 days per week preferred since we staff 24/7 -Onsite in the ED or ICU Job Duties: Attends Code Blues including traumatic arrests, provides necessary medications, and documents participation. Attends Rapid Sequence Intubations in all areas of hospital and provides necessary medications. Attends Code Strokes, reviews patient profile, makes recommendations for treatment, and mixes fibrinolytics if warranted. Attends Code Sepsis, reviews patient profile, makes antibiotic recommendations, and mixes necessary medications. Reviews and provides comprehensive pharmacy services for all STAT orders in the ED and ICU. Monitors EPIC verification queue for all STAT orders and those requiring clinical intervention or iVents. Performs drug utilization reviews, monitors for drug interactions, assists in maintaining integrity of formulary, participates in antibiotic stewardship program, provides pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring services to the medical staff and evaluates potential adverse drug events. Functions as a clinical resource for the hospital staff. Qualifications REQUIRED: BCCCP or BCEMP board certification PGY2 Critical Care or ED OR 5 years providing clinical care in ICU and/or ED BLS and PALS 1 year American Society of Health-System Pharmacist (ASHP) accredited residency or 4 plus years of acute hospital experience working in patient care area of specialty that demonstrates direct patient care in medication management and participation in patient rounds with medical and hospital staff.
